Admission Requirements

 FOUR YEAR PROGRAMME

(a)  Candidates must have obtained credits at not more two sittings in five subjects at the ‘O’ Level/Senior Secondary Certificate, NECO or Credit/merit level passes in Teachers Grade II Examinations, including English language, Mathematics and Geography and any two subjects from the following (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geology) plus other subject from the Humanities/Arts.

(b) Candidate must take English Language, any other three science subjects at  the U.M.E. Examination

THREE YEAR PROGRAMME

In addition to the requirements stated in (a) above

(a)  Candidates must have passed at least two science subject in the H.S.C. or G.C.E. ‘A’ Level including Geography or OND in Geography, Town Planning or Related subject acceptable to the department

OR

(b)        N.C.E with Distinction or credit or merit in Geography and any other science subjects.

(c)        University Diploma in Transport and Planning Management acceptable to   the department

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AWARD OF B.Sc GEOGRAPHY AND REGIONAL PLANNING (SCIENCE)

To be eligible for the award of the B.Sc. Geography degree of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Students must satisfy the following minimum requirements.

  1. To be eligible for the award of a single honour B.Sc. Geography and Planning the student in addition to passing all the compulsory and prescribed number of Required courses, must also obtain at least 50 Units in the 300 and 400 level courses out of which 300 Units must be from Geography and Regional Planning.
  2. The students must pass at least 9 units of Electives at 200 to 400 level from other Departments in the Faculty.
  3. The class of degree shall be based on the Cumulative Grade Point scored by the student in all courses taken during the period of the degree programme.
