CONTRIBUTIONS TO KNOWLEDGE

A method for distributing random shares of polynomial coefficients among mutually distrusting parties cooperating on a joint computation in a network (distributed sieving) that guarantees a 100% probability of success in terms of security and privacy of communication in the computation, as well as error in discarding good candidates for the seeds forming the modulus N .

Design of a fully homomorphic threshold distributed modular arithmetic-based signature scheme, anchored on the Boneh and Franklin algorithm, in which new shares can be created from existing ones without impacting, in any way, on the security and privacy of the existing shares. The security of the implemented design was fully justified, in terms of its robustness and existential unforgeability, in the random oracle model, unlike other implementations in the open literature.

Design and implementation of a multi-party digital signature protocol in which the communication, storage and time complexities are linear in the number of bits for the security parameter. This is in contrast to many contemporary RSAbased digital signature protocols that have quadratic communication, storage and time complexities of ( * ) 2 O n l , where n is the number of parties and l is the number of bits of prime factors P and Q of RSA moduli N respectively.
