The overall performance of candidates in all examination may be moderated in such a manner, as senate may determine by assessors appointed by Senate from the University in accordance with the general regulations relating to the duties of the External Examiner. The class of degree shall be awarded on the basis of the final grade point average as follows:

 

                                4.50 – 5.00                          First class Honours

                                3.50 – 4.49                          Second Class (Hons) Upper Division

                                2.40 – 3.49                          Second Class (Hons) lower Division

                                1.50 – 2.39                          Third Class

                                1.00 – 1.49                          Pass degree
