Biography
Femi Ariyo is a Senior Lecturer in Department of Earth Sciences at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye where he has been a faculty of science member since 1998. He was a Faculty General Studies Coordinator from 2012-2018. Ariyo completed his BSc., MSc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. at University of Ibadan, Department of Geology. His research interest lies in the area of Hydrogeophysics and Environmental Geophysics. He has collaborated actively with researchers within and outside the university in other disciplines of Earth Sciences, Physics and Geophysics. He has served in many university committee and attended many conferences and workshops within and outside Nigeria. He is a member of many professional associations such as NMGS, NAH, IAH, NAEGE etc. and a COMEG registered. He currently serves as member of University Academic Ceremonies representing Dean of Science and Departmental Postgraduate coordinator. Ariyo has been an instructor for both undergraduate and postgraduate students within and outside the University for over twenty years. He has co-supervised a PhD student in the Department and currently supervising two PhD students. As a field Geologist he has travelled to several states and towns in Nigeria. He has published over 30 journal articles in reputable journals within and outside Nigeria. Ariyo, a Christian by religion and is happily married to Mrs. Arike Ariyo and are blessed with wonderful children.
