Biography

I obtained my Ph. D. in Pharmacognosy from the University of Ibadan in 2015. My area of specialization is Natural Products Chemistry. I teach organic chemistry courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and have supervised students accordingly. My research focus is in providing a scientific justification for the traditional use of plants with anti-diabetic potentials and also on the essential oil composition of plants. To this end, I have carried out research investigating the anti-diabetic and alpha-amylase inhibitory and antioxidant activities of such plants.
