He is currectly a Senior lecturer at the Department of Earth Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University. Olateju does research in Geology, and Applied Geophysics. His current projects are on Electrical Resistivity Anisotropy, Aquifer Vulnerabililty and Delineation of Freshwater Aquifer in Coastal Environment
