Biography

Ganiyu Mosuro is a geoscientist with years of working and research experience. He started his research career as a Research Assistant at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dharhan, Saudi Arabia before moving to Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye in 2006. He specializes and consults on the interpretation of various structure in outcrops and geological maps. He is an expert in the use of geophysics for solving environmental and engineering related problems and exploration of Geo-resources such as Groundwater, Solid Minerals and Hydrocarbon. Dr. Mosuro was a member of the Satellite and Aerogeophysics research group at the Institute of Geoscience, Christian Albrecht University, Kiel, Germany in the winter of 2016/2017 during his visitation. He has won several travel grants and fellowships which has taken him to workshops, training and conferences Germany, The Netherlands, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Ghana to mention but a few. At present, he is involved in AGEEDAF, a project aimed at assessing and revolutionizing the status of Geoscience education in Africa (www.ageedaf.com). His present research interests are studying tar sand for direct application to road construction and Satellite monitoring of illegal mines. Ganiyu enjoys swimming. He is married with children.
