Biography

Dr AJIBADE Olumuyiwa Michael is a native of Akinmoorin in Afijio Local Government of Oyo State. He had his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Applied Geology from Federal University of Technology Akure; M.Sc in Mineral Exploration (Geochemistry option) from the University of Ibadan; and Ph.D in Applied Geochemistry/Environmental Geology, University of Ibadan. He had worked as a lecturer at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Nigeria between February 2002-January 2006, where he taught geology courses, supervised student projects, carry out researches in the field of applied geology and Applied Geochemistry/Environmental Geology. Currently he is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Earth Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye Ogun State, Nigeria since February 2006 till date. He has taught geology courses at both undergraduate and post graduate levels, supervised student projects and carry out researches in the field of applied and environmental geochemistry. His research activities cover the fields of Mineral exploration, Applied Geochemistry, Environmental studies and Applied Hydrogeology which deals with rock, soils, sediments, water and particulate dusts. He is a member of Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientist (COMEG); Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) and Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists (NAH). He has 28 publications in different journals and one contribution to book to his credit.
