CONTRIBUTIONS TO NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LIFE

Significance of my research to the academic world

My research findings have been of national and international benefit in the sense that they have highlighted the health hazards of livestock, foods and herbs consumed by humans without adequate microbiological quality control. The resistance of strains of bacteria isolated from man, animals, humans and environment to commonly used antibiotics and its health implication when transferred along the food chain and in the environment are also important findings in the epidemiology of disease. Many of these researches which focu on health related issues are relevant to development in Nigeria.
